We begin every private-client engagement by immersing ourselves in each client’s core beliefs and long-term aspirations. From there, we build a comprehensive financial plan that serves as the foundation for our proprietary cash-flow analysis—rather than relying solely on risk-tolerance questionnaires—to ensure recommendations align with a client’s true capacity to withstand unforeseen disruptions. Nonprofits receive the same level of rigor, with plans that strictly follow their investment-policy statements.
Once the plan is in place, we set an asset-allocation model and construct a securities portfolio—typically a mix of stocks, ETFs, and fixed-income instruments. Clients may also opt into our covered-call writing program, hold part of their cash in foreign currencies, or pursue socially responsible portfolios. These choices are all included in our standard fee, and we guide clients through each option’s benefits and risks.
Our fixed-income sleeves—comprised of government and corporate bonds—are managed to control interest-rate and credit risk. Clients seeking rental income alongside bond yields can work directly with Sammy Sung (licensed in California and New York, with 20+ years of income-property experience). These real-estate services are provided by Mr. Sung in his individual capacity; ALE LLC itself does not solicit or offer real-estate transactions.
